The Hughston Foundation Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship
- The Hughston Foundation Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one year post graduate educational program for physicians who have completed an ACGME approved or foreign country equivalent Orthopaedic residency.
- The primary educational goal of this curriculum is the development of a well-rounded competency in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
- The program is grounded in basic science, anatomy, physical diagnosis, imaging interpretation, deductive reasoning as it relates to surgical indications, refinement of surgical technical skills and comprehensive rehabilitation protocols.
- The program also seeks to define the way sports medicine specialists interface with the athletic program.
